Indiana traveled to Robinson to settle first place in O-40 Serie A. When Indiana was able to bring enough (12) players, they were thin in the back, as they were missing their regular keeper and several of their experienced defenders. Robinson drew first blood, after a misplay led to an easy goal. However, Indiana responded when Jose Soriano’s pass got Chad Hojnoski behind the defense down the left side. Hojnoski surprised the keeper by going to the near post, and his perfect shot tied the score. The final 20 minutes of the first half saw Robinson largely control play, but several good defensive plays by Indiana kept the score even at halftime. The first 20 minutes of the second half were dominated by Robinson, and this time they made their control count with three goals over that time. Indiana had several good scoring opportunities in the final 20 minutes, but couldn’t find the back of the net, and the game ended 4-1, Robinson. Indiana finishes the regular season at Seneca Valley North next Saturday.
