A beautiful day and a terrible field awaited Indiana’s O-40 team as they visited Mt. Lebanon on September 28. The home team kept Indiana bottled up in their defensive end for most of the first 15 minutes, and scored on an excellent shot from the left corner of the penalty box. This seemed to rouse Indiana, and the remainder of the first half was played fairly evenly. Unfortunately, Indiana was called for a hand-ball in the penalty box, and Mt. Lebanon scored on the resulting PK to make it 2-0 at half. Indiana opened the second half with their best soccer of the day. This was finally rewarded when Rich Stiteler was fouled in Mt. Lebanon penalty box, and Chad Hojnoski converted the PK to bring Indiana within striking distance. However, Mt. Lebanon controlled possession after that point, and scored an insurance goal with about 10 minutes to play to make the final score 3-1.
